Day 31 - Logical Sense? I Don't Think So!

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
What motivates Him to be gracious and compassionate?
slow to anger, abounding in love.
This combination is a winner; to be slow in that?! and abounding in this?! What motivates Him to be like this?
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
I kinda like to harbor ill feelings. Sometimes it feels worthwhile hanging on to them.
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
ISIS might be an example of how He should treat us if he based it on our inability to get it right.
or repay us according to our iniquities.
That would be a really bad payday!
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
There are a lot of new/old galaxies being discovered, or so they say. How far up are we talking about? I have yet to hear of a tool that can do this kind of measurement.
so great is his love for those who fear him;
Why do we not fear Him? The reward is immeasurable.
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
What motivates Him to be involved with the trash industry?
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
Why do we not fear Him? The reward is so comforting.
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
Wait! What? This makes no sense. There is only one thing I do with dust. GET RID OF IT. Dust is no respecter of persons, it happens everywhere and everyone just pushes it away. But God loves it/us. God, you make no logical sense. Is this why you want me to follow you, because my thoughts and your thoughts are on two completely different planes?

(Just look at that soil - when there is no water it becomes dust, not fertile)
